Hands-On Soapmaking at Art in Mind

Ready for a fun class crafting your own natural soap?

Join us at Art in Mind Studio, where you'll learn how to make soap from scratch. In this hands-on session, you'll create your own batch of soap to take home (about 4 large bars or 8 smaller bars). 

You'll choose a mineral-based colorant, natural clay, pigment, or botanical additive, like a dried herb or exfoliant, and a fragrance for your batch of soap. 

Art in Mind provides complimentary coffee, tea, or cocoa, and sells wine, beer, hard teas/seltzers & soda, as well as some packaged snacks. All soapmaking materials and supplies will be provided; no prior experience is necessary. Suitable for students ages 18 and up.

Art in Mind will pick up your soap from Mineral Springs Soap's shop after 24+ hours (fresh soap is not set up enough to safely transport!). You will be notified when your soap is back at Art in Mind, ready for you to pick up!

SAFETY NOTE: This is an 18+ class due to the use of lye (sodium hydroxide). Cold process soap requires a month to cure before use. Safety goggles and gloves will be available to share, but feel free to bring your own if preferred.

The class size is limited, so please make sure to reserve your seat by registering.

Please arrive around 5-10 minutes early to ensure a prompt start time. Art in Mind and Mineral Springs Soap reserves the right to cancel due to low enrollment or emergency situations. We will notify you if this occurs and refund accordingly.

Due to limited seating, we request that you cancel at least 72 hours before a scheduled class. Please understand if you must cancel your registration with less than 72 hours notice prior to the class, we cannot issue refunds or credits. In-person classes cannot be exchanged for take-home kits.
